The BBSC Blazers were established in 1979 as a competitive outlet to the BBSC soccer program. Since our inception, Blazer teams have won multiple state championships. Blazer alums have also been awarded with many high school and collegiate honors, including several who have played professionally and even with the US National Team in the World Cup.

What is travel soccer?
BBSC Blazers travel soccer program is designed for players who show an interest in mastering the many elements of the game and for parents who have the commitment and willingness to support their child and team’s development.

How do you get on a Blazer team?
Travel Tryouts are June 18th, 19th and 21st this year. Specific age group times are posted at bbscsoccer.org. All tryouts are held at Groves High School. Players are encouraged to attend both the Saturday and Sunday sessions. If you have previous out of town commitments, email the office ([email protected]) and plan to attend the Tuesday evening session.

What is the time commitment?
The Blazer teams are formed for an entire year (July-June). Team camp is held in August and then outdoor practices begin. Practices are 2 times per week. It is typically a 10 game outdoor season. There is at least 1 indoor session of games (with some teams opting for a second session). Indoor practice, 1 time per week begins in January and runs into March (typically 8-10 practice sessions). Then the spring outdoor season and a local tournament get us back to tryouts in June. How far do we travel? Seasons typically consist of 5 home and 5 away games; most away games are within a ½ hour drive.

Who are the coaches?
Blazer coaches all hold USSF coaching licenses and have in most cases played and/or coached at a high level. All coaches participate in the MSYSA Risk Management Program.
